Anyone know of somewhere (hopefully relatively nearby) around the area I could take a small child fresh water fishing for small fish? Thinking things like Sunfish or Perch, nothing big just a chance to get them more interested in nature and have some fun by a lake/pond. Thanks!

Not sure if this pond/lake has fish in it and or what condition it is in, haven’t been there since the 1970’s!!! LOL! But there’s Lake Garrett or to everyone else Hick’s Lake over by Cascade Middle School and the old Park Lake Homes

It’s now Hicklin Lake and I don’t believe it has fish. It’s had oxygen problems for a long time.

The Old Fishing Hole in Kent is a small lake designated for juvenile fishing. http://kentwa.gov/content.aspx?id=11196

Our daughter caught a 16 inch trout in there when she was around 4 years old!

The Old Fishing hole sounds pretty cool, and appropriately named. We will have to try that. Wish there were more ponds closer by!!!
