B-squaredParticipantI’d like a small fence built and would like to use a local contractor – one that does quality work. Any suggestions? littlebrowndog, did you find someone for your fencing needs?

littlebrowndogParticipantI ended up going with Alki Fence. Despite the name I think they are out of the Rainier Valley. They did an excellent job. They responded swiftly to our request for a bid, and then were out to do the work in just a few days after that. Removing the old fence turned out to be more difficult than they or we expected; it ended up taking a jack hammer to get the old posts out. They tore down the old fence and cut back some overgrown shrubs in the way, and hauled away the old fence and the foliage. I was here much but not all of the day while they worked, and they worked diligently. I am satisfied with them.

AnonymousInactiveHi — these guys are not in West Seattle, and I’m not sure if they’d work in the area, but we used them when we were living just north of Renton in Rainier Valley. They gave us the best quote (and honored it) and did the work really fast — they came over and had the fence done in two days and everyone else told us it would be a month before they could fit us in.
