I saw in your other post that you don’t have kids yet, so I’m just gonnna throw this out there:
Over the years we’ve seen that the situation with individual schools in the district is extremely fluid. Meaning, a school’s staff, curriculum, test scores, and reputation can change in a couple of short years. And all of that can go in either direction, for better or worse.
So it’s somewhere between possible and likely that the opinions you hear now about Fairmount Park will be obsolete by the time your kids actually go there.
Furthermore, the level of parental involvement can have a significant impact on the kids’ experience. So to a degree, it is what you make of it.
