The north end of West Seattle (Alki, North Admiral) is experiencing a constant cycling droning sound that sets up a vibration in some homes. Does anyone Know what is causing this droning? It is a 24/7 noise/vibration so it is not coming from a daytime construction project and is not aircraft noise. Ear plugs don’t help because of the vibratory aspect of this noise. It is hard to hear outside but causes humming, droning in sructures. Help. Thanks

I don’t know how long that work has been happening. This noise/vibration has been for about 9 months now, day and night and weekends, worse lately. Sets up a vibration in the earth so could be the Terminal 5 work. I will investigate further and really appreciate the suggestion. Geri

Port of Seattle is using a Vibro hammar to loosed and remove 2000 pilings between now and 3/18 and are working at night at the north end of Terminal 5 so I think this is the source of the problem. What to do about it is another thing! Geri
