    The real world effect of these vouchers is almost inconsequential, except as a way to pose the question- if not this, then what?
    How much more campaign funding do city attorney candidates need? Does this opportunity empower voters? Would these people be contributing to this campaign if they had more disposable income? Of course not (for most), they’re only submitting because, well – here it is?! I gotta do something with it, right? I want to be a good democracy participator..?!
    I have to pay $100 of property tax for this idiotic program!? Along with all the other property tax money I’m forced to pay. Why not just put the money on the sidewalk and light it on fire? Same effect, equally gratifying.

    i disagree
    i think if accepted and used.. the limitations placed on those who accept the vouchers will go a long ways towards taking big money out of local politics..
