I am both driver and pedestrian. As driver, I simply cry out for pedestrians to wear light-colored and/or reflective “something,” “anything”! Too many Sprockets (think SNL) at-large. Seriously what is with the black outfits AND the black umbrellas in the pouring rain at dusk? MIME alert. They’re everywhere – and appear to be clueless.
As pedestrian in my reflective gear (having been hit by a driver downtown while on foot – and years earlier on my bike), I applaud drivers who are paying attention – i.e., not texting, phoning, racing through crosswalks looking the “other way.” Thanks!
