    WhirlyBuds Dance Company is a small but growing movement company that caters to the energetic and whimsical preschool crowd in the Seattle area. We teach all of our classes on-site at various child care facilities. WhirlyBuds cultivates a positive environment for children to be imaginative, curious, and expressive through dance.

    WhirlyBuds is looking for an outgoing, friendly, focused, reliable, driven, part-time teammate to lead our client services, and sales and marketing efforts. We offer flexible hours, with a majority of the work being done from home. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service and development work, enjoy problem solving and organizing logistics, be computer savvy, and have a go-getter attitude. He/She will be a superior communicator, extremely organized and punctual, and have warm, cheerful personality. Having a high level of initiative is a must.

    SUMMARY & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    As the lead client services and sales and marketing teammate, the Creator of Opportunities Officer is the primary point of contact for all WhirlyBuds clients as well as main driver in obtaining new clients. The focus of the work changes throughout the month and dance semester, but generally speaking 60% of the work will be client services oriented and 40% will be sales and development work.

    Additionally, he/she is responsible for:
    — Performing monthly account management duties, including creating/sending invoices, receipts, payment reminders, bank deposits, etc.
    — Managing all aspects of registration for parent pay classes
    — Being the lead point of communication for clients, including but not limited to sending monthly newsletters, obtaining school calendars, organizing recital logistics, and responding to emails
    — Creating and employing a business development plan
    — Leading sales initiatives
    — Organizing the class schedule each semester
    — Developing, maintaining, and distributing creative content
    — Keeping website content up to date

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
    — Experience in customer service and client management
    — Proven ability to make and meet goals and deadlines
    — Strong verbal and written skills
    — Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word, and comfortable learning other technology vendors (Mailchimp, Xero, Adobe)
    — Excellent problem solving, organizational, and logistic coordination skills

    SUPERVISOR & TEAM
    The Creator of Opportunities Officer will report to the founder and director of WhirlyBuds. He/She will work with the People and Programs Officer as needed and communicate with WhirlyBuds dance instructors on occasion.

    HOURS & COMPENSATION
    The WhirlyBuds Creator of Opportunities Officer will be compensated based on relevant experience and meeting sales goals. The duties of the job will likely require an average of 12 hours/week. Some client services and sales work will need to be performed during daytime hours (10am-3pm), while other responsibilities don’t need to be completed during a specific time of the day. Compensation will begin around $8,000/year, plus commission.
