Children's Haircuts

I did some searching, but the last post I saw on this topic was several years old. Can anyone recommend a great, local, affordable, and kid-friendly stylist for my four and six year old girls?

I bring my kids to Hair Masters in Westwood Village. I have brought them to Budget Cuts and West Seattle Kids but always go back to Hair Masters.

I’ve tried a bunch of barbers up around Admiral/California and finally had to quit. I’d show them a picture, then my kid would come out looking like he’d cut it himself (which he would have preferred doing).

Two weeks ago I took him in to Vain in the junction to see Yuki. She gave him a great cut, listened to his opinions, and sent him out trimmed and as stylish as a simple boy haircut needed to be. Not discount barber prices, but a great all-around experience.

Columbia City Cuts. For difficult kids like mine who hate haircuts they’ve been great. Not the cheapest around for kids, but they do a good job and tolerate the screaming. ;). She will even hand over her IPad for especially tough cases. Just be aware it is in a toy store and there is a fantastic bakery next door so you may end up spending more than you expect for the outing!

Another thing I brought my son to Supercuts in Jefferson Square years ago and he started crying and they told me to leave because he was bothering the other clients. I had never been back!

I love Tram’s Salon. She is just lovely and I bust 3 boys (all under 8) in and they take care of us. Make an apt to avoid waiting but it’s cheap, and they are all good – and kind.
