Childcare Position Available

Alki United Church of Christ seeks childcare workers and substitute childcare workers during Sunday morning service. Other occasional opportunities during special services may also be available. This is a great opportunity for students, stay-at-home parents and retirees in the West Seattle area.

Alki UCC actively and openly celebrates a richly diverse community of families and children. Applicants may be M/F, 16+ yrs old and have experience with groups of children. Police background checks are required.

Candidates should be available Sunday mornings from 9:00 am-12:00 pm and are responsible (with a partner) for a group of children, babies to 5 yrs old (avg 3 – 8 kids), while parents attend worship services. Large room with books, puzzles, activities and art supplies. No religious instruction involved.

Hello. Is this position still available? I work full time but am looking for a very part time second job in the West Seattle area (where I live). I may be interested in the position but have a few questions.

I have a three year old son. Would I be able to bring him with me?

Also, all of my experience (except for being a mother and sometimes also watching my son’s friends) is legal experience (my fulltime job). I am fully capable of caring for children due to my personal life, but this is not related to my professional career. Shall I apply? Thank you very much!
