I’m wondering if anyone knows of any parks in West Seattle that have baby swings. We found some over at Green Lake and to our surprise our 3 month old loved it! It would be nice to find some a little closer to home, though. Thanks.

Haven’t been there in a couple months but Roxhill Park playground (across Barton from Westwood Village) had the big red buckets you could put a baby in. Can’t think of whether they have safe restraints, though, but check it out.

Roxhill park has the traditional baby swings as well as the really cool red plastic swing mentioned above. It is just a great park all around for kids!

The southend playground at Lincoln Park has 2 babyswings as well…

And I think maybe Whale Tail Park at Alki?

There are baby swings at Hiawatha Park, too – separate from the regular swings – more toward the NW side of the park.

Thanks for all the suggestions! We’re somewhat near Hiawatha, so we plan on checking them out soon. Great to know the other locations as well.

Although this has nothing to do with where to find a baby swing, it reminded me of years ago, when a relative had a baby in this bouncy thing that was suspended from a doorway, so the kid was bouncing up and down in a doorway. I thought it looked like fun. What I meant to say to her, jokingly, was “do they make those for adults too?” and instead what came out of my mouth was “do they make those for HUMANS too?” You can imagine that the mom was not amused. :)
