AT&T "Authorized Store"… Fees?

For those that have purchased phones, upgraded, reupped a contract, etc, do they add on any extra fees or charges?

I ask because I’ve experienced that in the past with a reseller, but know it isn’t true of all of them. I’m hoping that if there is fine print someone else has already read it and can warn me :)
