I’ve lived down in Alki for the last 6 years, and it seems like the cruising, speeding, and revving along Harbor, Alki, and Beach drive have gotten notably worse this year. What is the best way to make my concern and complaint known to the city and the SPD?

This is also happening all along California from at least Morgan Junction south and up the hill as far as Holden. It’s often like living on drag alley at times. Especially problematic with louder motorcycles and cars with modified exhaust systems.

On Alki apparently there is little the police or the park rangers can do about it. This WSB post from a few months ago pretty much sums it up: https://westseattleblog.com/2016/06/im-not-going-to-lie-to-you-spd-hears-complaints-from-alki-community-council-says-not-much-can-be-done/

That is also concerning to hear that stretch of California is having speeding problems. Especially considering there is a children’s gym and a school right there. That road is very narrow as well and I always feel unsafe trying to parallel park or cross the street there.
