So much hoopla about the Alki Cafe, and sympathy for the jerk manager. Give it up. The Alki Cafe is a tourist trap for out-of-towners from places across the bridge. They deserve what they get.

If Alki is the required destination for breakfast, Christos or Dukes should work as well. If the view isn’t a requirement, once the Charlestown re-opens a more agreeable setting for 14 will reappear. Even Endolyne Joe’s would be better.

If it’s just an artery clogging breakfast you need to drown your sorrows, go to the Chelan or Skylark where you can also drown in Bloody Marys.

With the exception of Joe’s, my breakfast experiences have been good at all the alternatives I’ve mentioned.

We don’t need no stinkin’ Alki Cafe.
