When I inquired to my car insurance provider, State Farm, if I was covered for loss while driving for Uber/Amazon package delivery they replied that my policy would NOT cover any form of loss while driving “for hire” for these services. State Farm had no modification to offer to my policy to cover any “for hire” loss while using my vehicle.
So if you know anyone driving for Uber or Amazon have them check their car insurance provider – they may be driving without ANY INSURANCE coverage for any form of loss (vehicle, liability, contents) while driving “for hire.”
And if you are a passenger in Uber and you experience some form of damage, the driver’s insurance may not cover your loss.
If you know of any insurance provider that covers loss while driving for Uber or Amazon, please share it here.
