Google the make and model and the word freon.
That should lead you to determine whether you have a car new enough to just get regular service or you need a conversion to the new R-134a.
Most but not all cars newer than 1993 have the R-134a coolant. (Freon is a trademark of the r-12 last time I looked)
I do my own AC service, or did until R-12 became unavailable. When the AC dies on my Escort, I will have to decide whether to roll down the windows or upgrade the system.
Courtesy Tire on California does AC service, Jiffy Lube, despite having it on their menu, does not.
There are probably several shops which will do the job and you can call them and they will give you a quote based on the year, make and model.
