I am looking to re-home my adorable 2 year-old pit mix – please see my Craigslist ad for pictures and details: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/pet/5915573102.html

I’m sure there are questions from people who are reading your post…like…why are you not keeping this dog? Moving? Allergies? Are there problems that are making you give it up? It’s simply curiosity, but all good to know if one is going to adopt a pup.

    Flagged on this post.

More of concern … who is the “adoption fee” going toward? Are you working with an organization? We don’t allow sales of animals here. Thanks – TR

I held off commenting as I wasn’t sure of the WSB policy on pet ads. CL does not allow pet sales, although a lot of people try to get around the rules by calling it a rehoming/adoption fee.

A close reading of the ad seems to indicate that the dog has behavioral issues, despite all the claims giving the appearance of devoted training. This dog needs to be surrendered to an appropriate adoption agency that can adequately screen potential owners. Sadly, shelters and adoption agencies are overflowing with pit bulls and mixes. Owning any companion animal is a lifetime commitment to be entered into with full awareness of the challenges that certain breeds present.

CL is an entirely inappropriate place for this, and it’s also against their rules. But thanks for the link, as it makes it easier to flag off the ad. I flagged nearly 150 Xmas puppy ads yesterday. Unfortunately, backyard breeders are well schooled in manipulating the system, and the ads pop back up as fast as they can be flagged.
