Ari Cutler, better known as Jiggers, passed away at Virginia Mason Hospital on February 1, 2016 from complications related to a lifelong immune-deficiency disorder. He was 50 years old.
    .
On the blog, Jiggers had a reputation as an iconoclast and a grump, but he started and participated in some good discussions. Jiggers didn’t like discussing the details of his life, and I will respect that. However, I do wish to note that he got some timely help from folks on this blog, and one person in particular: JoB.
    .
I’ll relay any public obituary that his family releases.

I’m truly sorry to hear that. I know he struggled a long time, and while his and my past relationship has not always been on good terms, still, way too young. :(

they say that when we leave this life we return to the place and time we loved best. if that is so, jiggers is swimming in warm waters now with a white shark… and thumbing his nose at us all.

i wish i had known.. i would have liked to have been there…
i still hold him in my heart.

Dang it. Jiggers was one of the good ones willing to participate. Like the guy who posted the Grouchos: gone too soon. We’ll miss your witty ripostes, Mr. Cutler.

SO very sorry to hear… I enjoyed Jiggers’ banter, baiting & participation in the Forums. I know he suffered and struggled for so very long with his health. May truly rest in peace now.
