Long story but the first Mardi Gras I spent in NOLA, I was staying at the Chartres House (A friend had a time share unit) and The Jimani is just next door so it was really convenient at first but it became my “go to” spot for late night grub. It’s definitely not classy like Court of Two Sisters or even family style like Domilise’s, it’s a dark, grungy little hole in the wall kind of place but it’s a local fav among a lot of the service industry as a place you can go for a good meal & drink for $10 or so.
We actually had them cater our wedding rehearsal dinner a few years back, we like them THAT much. No muss, no fuss, no frills. Just a great working person’s bar with traditional food that won’t break the bank. :)
