   I wanted to list the wine and beer tastings on the events calendar but was informed a while back that the state rules bar them from "advertising" such things. So that's why they're never on our calendar. I really should doublecheck that the state indeed believes that, because it seems so silly.

   TR - the state has some very strict rules we must follow, or else we can get fined, and have this privileged taken away from us. No advertisement outside of the store is a big one that was stressed repeatedly (and event calendars do count unfortunately, we asked).

   The reason is - we are giving away free alcohol, even if it is a small amount. Keep in mind this is a pilot program and it will be evaluated after the year is up for what could, and should be changed.

   We normally post flyers inside the store a week to 4 days before the event.

   FYI...they are normally on every 4th Thursday. (Not advertising, just informing).
