...on the on-ramp onto the West Seattle Bridge from I5 Northbound earlier this morning (call log states 8:14am). A huge thank you goes out to the BP truck driver that had a shovel and helped remove nearly all the snow lodged under my car and in my front tires (I didn't get your name, but thank you). WSP arrived at the right time, as I was able to go down the on-ramp in reverse and they were able to stop oncoming traffic so I can undo my mess. I wasn't hurt nor was my car in the incident.

I had cabin fever before that, I think that's long gone now.

    Happy trials, drive safely.

  4. Hi Lazybeard

So glad you are ok. I posted early I am still hoping to make it to Queen Anne this afternoon - but your tail scares me. I hear the ramps are major issues right now.

  5. Lazybeard, I saw your adventure on channel 7, maybe you can get a video clip from them.
Glad everything worked out, you had some great helpers there. We should all be so lucky in a time of misadventure.

I was able to get downtown today. A lot of the hills in Seattle are closed so going East to West or West to East can be problematic but it can be done.

Its clear Seattle didn't plow the streets here since most roads have tire tracks so you can get through.

don't use any street through SODO that starts with the letter H. (holgate, hanford, horton...) they're like frozen moonscapes: violent and icy.

    avenues are fine.

    WMO,

I was describing the event to a friend and he said he saw it on KIRO 7 and I found it on their website (right in the middle of the front page).

Thanks all. The crazy thing is this isn't my normal way to get home from work, I was craving a Bakery Nouveau breakfast.

Be safe, be sane, take it easy.
