Looking for an opportunity to volunteer during the Thanksgiving holiday, preferably during the morning or afternoon hours, places I can bring children to help volunteer would be best. Any suggestions? We are also open to the idea of vounteering during Christmas time too.

Women's shelters are a great place to volunteer during the holidays, or any other time. My experiences with this one were very happy:

I know Westside Baby can usually use stuff-sorters. It's pretty simple, sorting clothes by size, checking for stains, snapping and zipping up outfits. Depending on the age they might allow kids to do this with adult supervision. 206-767-1662
Or organize a holiday diaper drive...Posted 1 year ago # -
Doesn't Fauntleroy UCC do a thing every year? I think I tried to volunteer there last year and they were full!

The United Way of King County site has listings for volunteer opportunities around King County and usually have a special holiday section (might be a little early for that now though) http://www.uwkc.org/ways-to-volunteer/

Thanks for all the suggestions of places to volunteer, we selected the kidserve and are signed up for both the day before Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve Day. This will be an annual contribution to our community.
