I am looking for some work out classes in West Seattle that are not at All Star fitness. Anyone know of any? Trying to get into shape this year! Any info would be much appreciated!

    Thanks a million!

  3. I've just been looking at the Stroller Strides classes that take place in the early a.m. -- it looks like those ones don't involve the kids and looks early enough that I can get a workout in while the kids are asleep and before hubby leaves for work.

  4. South Seattle has a Tai Chi class for beginners starting next Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. and a QiGong class that follows at 6:45 p.m. Both are great exercise. Especially if you are just beginning to get back in shape. Gentle, yet effective in strengthening, while relaxing and having fun!

  7. I've had a good experience so far with South Side Booty Camp at Lincoln Park. It's only two days a week in the wintertime, and not too early (7:15am). I am not at all in shape, and at this class I am very comfortable taking things at my own pace. They are even offering a free trial class tomorrow morning. I did not find the staff at Fitness Together to be very understanding of how to help someone who has been sedentary for a long time. They are more focused on helping athletes up their game & move to the next level. Also, Fitness Together is individual personal training, not a class as the OP requested.

I've been a member of Fitness Together for a few years now, and I highly recommend them. It's true it is not group training, but for personal training they have helped me lose 30 lbs. I was very out of shape before I started there, and I needed the appt to show up.
