Got to think with his numbers falling and Joe Biden constantly sticking his foot in his mouth that there will be a new running mate in 2012

Will Obama dump Joe?

Democrats would be better off having a primary.

Doubtful, unless he really needs a last-minute hail mary.
This speculation is similar to the media meme that the Republicans will not be happy with Mitt. They will fall in line for Mitt/Rubio just as the D's will fall in line for Obama/Biden. It's all about turnout!
Gonna be a good one!

Don't misunderstand the role of the veep you guys. His job is to make the Chief look good, and he can do that in either of two ways. He can (1) go around talking about how great his boss is OR he can (2) just sit there and occasionally say something stupid. Biden does a little of both, which is probably just what the boss wants.
Think Dan Quayle here, not Dick Cheney.
I'm feeling like this Iran-plot thing, if it plays out the way they want it to, will be a boon to Obama. It'll be like: "Oh, this guy can keep us safe from terrorism."
I wish Obama had more to show off domestically — in fact he has practically nothing — but this is typical of Presidents running for second terms. They get voted in on domestic issues and end up making their bones in foreign policy.

My boss and I were discussing this. He thinks Obama will dump Joe B but I think he will have Sarah Palin as his VP. LOL.

No way would Obama "dump" Biden. I think Biden will remove himself from the 2012 ticket by citing legitimate health concerns (he'll be 70 years old in 2012). His likely replacement as VP candidate would be Kathleen Sebelius, the current US Secretary of Health & Human Services and a former state Insurance Commissioner and 2-term Governor of Kansas. A number of political pundits were betting that Obama would pick her as his running mate in 2008. She is 6 years younger than Joe Biden (and 1 year younger than Hillary Clinton) and probably the Democratic Party's best bet as far as positioning a viable new candidate to head its ticket in 2016.

So why don't we have a Democratic primary? Doesn't seem we're getting to have much of a choice here. Not that we ever do with choosing this guy or that guy in the presidential election.
But then it's not about us, it's about the parties. We're scrood. Again.

I think the pundits have this one wrong... Republicans reject RINO's...Even to their own astoishment, they are going to put Cain at the head of the ticket. The Republican nightmare? Hilary.

Romney/Rubio or Romney/Christie.
Take it to the bank.....

He should pick Hillary, but he will probably keep Joe. I would love if he picked Hillary!

Oh no, that would be a losing ticket. Obama is getting tossed. If his own party won;t do it, the general electorate will. Hilary at the head of the ticket.

What would be a losing ticket? Joe or Hillary?

Hilary at the head of the ticket would beat any Republican slate.

Politico did a poll and asked "independents" who their fave candidate would be...Hilary was #1..

We should have elected Hillary last time
but shoulda coulda woulda doesn't get us anywherei just want Obama to grow some balls..
those of a democrat would be preferable to the Reagan set he seems to have adopted.as for the Republican candidate
I really don't think it matters much.Posted 7 months ago # -
Why did Hillary always settle for seconds? —Maybe she never really wanted to be out front anyway, huh?
OK, so she's retiring from politics now? Good. I'm relieved, actually. I've never been terribly impressed by her choices in life, and I'm STILL glad she lost the primary to Obama. (There. I said it.)
Don't think Obama's gonna grow balls at this point, but we can always hope. And remember: There are balls and then there are balls.
We want smartballs, not dumbballs.

DBP
Hillary didn't settle for seconds...
the democratic party booted her in favor of a catchy slogan.Yes we can
the question is
will we?Posted 7 months ago # -
The V.P will remain the same Obama won't change it. Unless Biden says no more. Now what will change will be a dark horse republican will soon jump in and the tea party will be silenced forever when they are booted hard out of congress.....size 12 or bigger lol.... Job she will be back......

We will see Smitty. Those who want access will support The Messiah, or Romney. The big money is not in play yet. Romny has rhe dough.so far. but 28 million... is paltry to the 1.5 billion needed. The longer this caucus/primary plays out the better for Cain. Will I vote for Romney.. sadly, yes... it's an anybody but Obama election. Romney has never broken 30% .. in any poll. Meanwhile Cain has run up from 5%, no name recognition to dead heat... with the critical momentum on his side. Rove is spinning in circles. The old guard is not doing well.
