Where to take HIM/HER to dinner on Valentine's Day

  1. In West Seattle we have a ton of great options. I know the Bamboo Grill down on Alki has a great menu selection this year. Chef Beh (which btw is one of West Seattle's best Chefs) has a incredible menu picked out. Not only that, their bartenders have made some special drinks like the "Valentini".

Anyhow, please drop some additional places to go in this thread. It might help give us guys some ideas on where to take her for Valentine's Day.

    Steaks from the Swinery.
    Wine from Bin 41.
Vegies & other sides from West Seattle Produce.
    Dine at home (:

Am I the only one growing tired of the "sly" advertisements for Bamboo Bar & Grill?

P.S. They're not sly at all -- they're quite obvious, actually.

  4. SarahScoot: nope.

Dudes. You wanna advertise, buy advertising. That's what it's for.

His/her company manages their website-self advertising?

Yep, Carol -- click on "member" under the OP's name and you'll see that all the posts by this member have been to promote Bamboo. They're not very covert, that's for sure. Points for transparency, I suppose?

  8. Actually, Bamboo/Pegasus is a sponsor.

You don't even have to scroll through the sidebar to doublecheck that ... for quite some time we have had a handy list linked from the SPONSORS! tab atop every page of the site.

However, we do need to note to this post'er what the rules are for this section.

  9. Get a couple lobster tails (on sale I believe at both QFC and Safeway), a couple steaks - uncover the bbq... a little romance at home.

I'll still want to try the Cobb salad there, if they follow the rules. Is that ok? I'm a little conflicted about it now. ;)

  11. We actually don't do V-day around our house...I'm going to a metal concert with a friend that night.

My favorite place for a romantic dinner out is Ephesus. I think my husband would choose Jak's.

We're going to Mashiko. I'm allergic to fish. It's a chef's choice menu; I feel quite silly... but I love what they do with veggies and shellfish/crustaceans, so oh well!

I can't believe that La Rustica didn't get a shout out. I love that place, small, family run, fantastic food and not bank breaking to treat a date.

Oh crap! I MISSED Valentines Day. No wonder my partner hasn't spoken to me since mid-February...

  15. Funny that the OP would use their real company name. Just google The McVeigh Group. They do Web site development and marketing. I would assume that Bamboo Grill is one of their clients. I hope Bamboo isn't paying them too much for this kind of "advertising."
