Any suggestions where to find oak whiskey barrels for aging your own spirits, locally??

  2. You might check with the Homebrew place in Georgetown. Don't know if they have them, but maybe can point you in the right direction.

How local? I ask because on this board that sometimes can mean west Seattle only. The folks at the woodinville whiskey company can probably help you out. They sell small barrels for aging bottle sized amounts of spirits as well as used 8 gallon barrels. If you're looking for unused barrels I wouldn't be surprised if they were available too.

I was hoping maybe closer than Woodinville, but that may the nearest. None listed at SoundHomeBrew.com, but I'll give them a call. I'm looking to give one to my husband so he can age his own tequila.

I've never done anything like that, I just know they sell barrels because I've enjoyed their whiskey. Home made tequila sounds pretty awesome, I hope you find what you're looking for!
