I've been buying my high quality bird seed at Wild Birds Unlimited in Burien, but getting tired of the drive down there as I suspect there has to be a place closer to the Junction that sells 'the good stuff'. Anyone know of such a place?

True Value carries a pretty decent mess-free option that I have started buying. When you say high quality I assume you mean without all the shells and mess.

I use "Patio Mix" and you cen get it at True Value. I also add to it some additional niger thistle seed to attract the Goldfinches.

"high quality" means the seeds NW birds eat without all the fillers and cheap seeds most less expensive brands include. WBU are specific to NW birds and have "no mess" options.
There use to be a "drop" location for the Seattle Audubon Society in West Seattle ... I'm trying to find it on their website ... not sure it still exists.
I love WBU. Considering the quality of the food, it's the best choice. Maybe they'll bring one to WS being we're finally getting a TJ's (I shop the both in one trip)

What about SUET BLOCKS? Any good leads on suet, instead of paying about a dollar a piece, any butcher shops for the lard or stores that sell more in bulk?
