We just put down (yet another) layer of flooring in the kitchen and now need two floor transition strips. We've looked at normal hardware stores, but they don't have a very big selection of sizes. Does anyone know of a lumber store or person who would sell or make various sizes of strips? We are looking for one that is 7'4'' long and 3'' wide, the other one needs to be 10'2'' long by 2'' wide.

Where to Buy Floor Transition Strips?

I'm not sure what you mean by transition strips, particularly since you don't mention what kind of material you are using. In any case, I urge you to contact one of the flooring retailers on First Ave. in Sodo. We used the one directly across from Starbucks HQ (and next to Pho Cyclo) so you can have a terrific lunch before or after talking flooring) that handles a wide variety of flooring and related supplies. Fairly reasonable, too. (Sorry, can't recall their name.)

Did you try McLendon's in White Center?

Here is a weblink for flooring results on Yelp, there are several flooring stores in SODO to choose from, check out Home Depot too. a transition strip basically is used between a laminate and porecelin flooring.
