I have had a couple people mention that in my avatar it appears I'm sitting somewhere that amazes me. Is the picture that bad that it's impossible to tell where I am or are there some folks that just aren't paying attention? Fine with me either way but what does it look like to you?

Looks like you are sitting on the head of an elephant to me!

Or...your were clammoring up a tree for wild bananas... bare footed... and a baboon scared you and you fell...landed on an elephants head that was ambling by...someone caught this photo just in time...and now you're about to slide down the trunk to the relative safety terra firma - a rain forest setting - perhaps in Africa?

I apologize that we don't have a feature for enlarging avatars for a closer look :) Doing the mac touchpad zoom thing, I see the elephant, but otherwise I would have said "rock"? - Tracy (who STILL needs better glasses)

Did the elephant ever get a turn on top? Or was it not that kind of relationship?

I always saw it as you're a pachyderm hood-ornament.

Not sure exactly *where* you are but clearly you are sitting upon an elephants head.
Was it fun??I have always wanted to sit on a elephant.

I have sat on an elephant. But not on its head.
Fun ride as long as broad swaying movements don't give you motion sickness.

Are we supposed to guess where you are sitting or what you are sitting on?

Everyone wins a prize! I am, indeed, sitting on the head of an elephant. I am not, as other people have suggested, sitting in a tree or sitting on a rock. That particular elephant lives in Thailand. Chiang Mai to be exact. I think he has a pretty happy life at the Patara Elephant Farm. http://pataraelephantfarm.com/ Got to learn about elephants, clean, bathe and feed them and ride through the jungle to a waterfall where they got to play (and poop) in the water while we ate lunch. Good times.

2MuchWhine..

I agree! Hood-ornament! :)

I'm thinking in this case it's a trunk ornament ;-)

Obviously a classic, air cooled, Volkswagen.
The trunk is in the front....

2 Much Whine, you and I may have visited the same farm. At least, the one I went to was also near Chiang Mai and had a similar program! (Could you feed the elephants bananas and sugarcane for 25 baht a pop?)
