Westside to move to Hughes?

    Heard a rumor that Westside School was moving to Hughes. Anybody got the scoop?

    Funny, I have had an inquiry out to SPS about what's next for both Boren and Hughes.

    Sat in on a case last year in which the district wanted to bypass the "school use advisory committee" process if prospective uses for Hughes, Genesee Hill and a few other "closed" buildings would fit in existing zoning, which I believe would include moving another school in.

    And in fact, looking at the SPS site, I see they requested lease proposals earlier this month for sites including Hughes and Genesee.

    Board approval would be required so even if Westside had a proposal out, it certainly wouldn't be final yet.
