Well known emailing website censoring?

    I do not know if this is the appropriate place for tis sort of thing but this could have huge ramifications for some folks here.

  3. Since it's Yahoo, I'm not sure we can ascribe to malice what is adequately explained by incompetence.

  4. Yahoo problems are usually incompetence but in the past it has been avarice. In the late 90's and early 2000's they would block only 500 spams per month and then offer to block the rest if you would sign up for their 19.95 a month "security service".

    My real concern is this is just the a trial baloon. If there is not enough push back will this become a regular thing?

    It is bad enough that our emails are looked at by equipment that decides what we are likely to buy but to block us from sending emails that are political calls to action is just plain scary.

    What if say facebook did this?

    Who to say that Gmail wont do this when they feel it benefits them. Are there any laws that say they can not?

    This is making me rething my position on the the good old fashioned envelope. No I do not work for the USPS.

    google's code of ethics... do no evil... would seem to ban this kind of censoring...

    but who knows? they have been known to make mistakes
