   Wanted: VCR

   Please don’t tease because I still use a vcr; the audio just stopped on mine, so I need a vcr in good working order, if anyone in West Seattle area has one to get rid of, would love to pick up asap

   You did check the connections, right Diane?

   This is a somewhat unusual way for a VCR to fail. Not saying it hasn't, but just suggesting (if you haven't already done so) making sure that the correct ports on the VCR and the TV are connected, and that connecting cables are good as well.

   I have a Panasonic brand that has both DVD and VCR built into one. It's in good working condition. I need cash so it won't be that cheap. It's in my storage unit in downtown Seattle. You'll have to meet me there if you want to look at it. There is free parking in the building at my storage place at street level. I have no car so It's here or good luk. Oh yeah..    most likely cause is inadvertent user error (hit the mute on the TV or turned the volume all the way down or loose connection, as Chrisma pointed out.) If not, it is likely that the heads are dirty or out of alignment; if the second, there is usually an adjustment function somewhere that shifts the heads a little.

   Diane, I have a VCR that you can have on 'permanent loan'; not sure I can get to it until Monday, but I will see what I can do.

   I have one that you can have. I don't have the remote but a universal remote will work.

   will have a VCR, 2 TV/VCR combos, and some VHS movies at our Yard Sale/Fundraiser ... donate cash or cat food ... 35th Ave SW & SW Webster St
