Attention all 99%-ers!
(1%-ers: please disregard.)
My friend Chris Genese from "Washington CAN!" sent me the following info about buses leaving from downtown Seattle on the morning of Tuesday, November 29. The idea is to get as many people as we can down there while the Legislature is deciding what programs to cut and what to keep.
Hi fellow activists!
Thank you for showing interest in coming to the occupation of the Olympia for the Special Legislative Session. We’ll put a face to the budget cuts that have devastated our families and communities by highlighting personal stories of people from across the state who are affected by the cuts. Fun activities/actions will take place throughout the day that urge our Legislators to take into account the human cost of the deep budget cuts that are being proposed.
We’re going to Olympia on November 29. Buses and carpools will leave from two of the following locations listed below:
The Park and Ride at the intersection of NE 65th St and 8th Ave NW in Seattle. We will meet at 8:30 am and leave at 8:45 am.
Casa Latina at 317 17th Ave S in Seattle. We will meet at 9:15 am and leave at 9:30 am.
We will be in Olympia until 5:00 pm at which point the buses and carpools will head back. Have a happy Thanksgiving. I'll see you all soon!
Feel free to contact me with any questions. My contact information is below. See you there!
