Wandering Beagle on Fauntleroy

This morning when I was waiting for my bus on Fauntleroy right next to the tennis courts, an adorable little white and black spotted beagle came trotting down the little road to the south of the courts.
I could hear his tags but saw no owner. I figured he would be turning around any minute but he kept coming towards the bus stop (maybe interested in the Nordys anniversary sale?)

Either way, he decided to cross the street without looking and I jumped out into traffic (my apologies to the frightened drivers about being a crazy lady in the road) to stop the cars in both directions so this little guy could cross safely.

He headed into the gas station and my bus came so I had to leave. I called my dad to follow up and have him come down and look for him... I hope he finds his owners.

Here I am sitting at work, thinking about my ballsy beagle bud. Hope you are ok.

  2. Elizagrace - what a lovely name! Is there a story there?

Hope the beagle finds its owner

Thanks Wren. Grace is a family name, maybe they gave it to me as a middle name to keep the pressure off - grace as a first name requires some living up to.

I hope this little guy makes it home safely. My Dad rushed out to look for him (thank you for teachers having the summer off) but didn't find him.
I will say the little beagle was a confident little guy, no bones about it he was crossing Fauntleroy drivers beware.

  4. This sounds just like the beagle I rescued at Lincoln Park a few weeks ago. Same guy do you suppose? I placed him with alkicab who had to find another home for him and that's where I've lost track.

Thanks so much for helping her that was not the same Beagle as last week. This morning that was our little Susie. She is notorious in the neighborhood for getting out.

She is 15-18 years can't hear and isn't afraid of anything. She likes the beef jerky from the gas station and to take adventures any chance she gets.

Elizagrace - I forwarded this post on to some Nordstrom folks. That was hilarious (and seriously, have you thought about a PR career? :-) ) Glad Miss Susie is home safe.
