(newest) MAY 29 UPDATE: How to get a password for your long-ago log-in: If you have any idea what your username was, but not the pw, click the log-in link and try logging in with just your username, no password (or, guess). Assuming you didn't magically remember your password correctly, you will then get a screen including a link you can use to recover/reset your password. If you cannot remember your username, e-mail us and we'll look in the system - we do NOT have access to your password, but we can search to find out what username is matched to your e-mail address.

Here's a bit of troubleshooting info, which probably should be the stirrings of a Forum FAQ:
1. HAVING TROUBLE REGISTERING?
We've had a wave lately of people e-mailing to say they've tried to register but weren't getting a password mailed to them. 90% of these have turned out to be people who had registered before but apparently forgot they already had a username. If your e-mail address already is registered in the Forum system, you cannot use it to create another username. Unfortunately, the system is NOT programmed to give you a message saying "That e-mail address is already registered" - you simply won't get a password.
If you are absolutely certain you've never registered before, but you're not getting a password, it may be in your spam filter.
If neither of these seems to apply, e-mail us at editor@westseattleblog.com.
2. TRYING TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD?
Here's how. On the forum main page, scroll down to VIEW YOUR PROFILE. Follow that link. On the next page, click EDIT (YOUR) INFORMATION. Then you'll get to a page where you can change your password.
