Thursday night KNITTING group *new thread*

  1. Hey ladies (and possibly gentlemen), I think it's time to start a new thread about the lovely little knitting group that's so new it doesn't even have a catchy name yet!

    *Thursday
    *7 PM
*Uptown Espresso, home of the "velvet foam" and Black Sabbath on the radio.
*Bring: Your "A" game and crafting goodies

    Sound good?!

I actually names it without telling you guys. How lame of me. I started a group for it on Ravelry. We are the West Seattle Needlers. What say yous?

I like it because it gives love to our hood and invites non knitters to join, also. Plus their is the double meaning of "needler". Heh.

  5. Sure; I don't use any needles, but maybe my pins will count? We don't yet have any crocheters or tatters, neither of whom uses needles--but I hope they'd not feel excluded by a name technicality!

  8. not that I can be a part of it this week, but how about calling it "Pins and Needles"?

    Posted 3 years ago #
  9. ellenater- if it were kiddo singular, I would...but it is kiddos X 4.

Ahhh, I wish i had a portable DVD player for the kiddos. We could get them set up with a nice Americano and an ALmodovar flick. ;)

Ya Aim you should come. It's really fun. Last night Kim came. It's always nice to meet new people and knitters are the best kinda' people. The gossip doesn't hurt either. ;)

    Thanks TR!

Wow! My name is mentioned in post #18!! I had to stop going to the Knit Night for a while because I was working on the election...opening absentee ballots! It was a lot of fun but took up a lot of time (mostly commuting to Renton!)

Anyway, after the holidays things get back to "normal" so I hope to be back soon!

Someday I'll be there and someday you-all will teach me to cast on and then I'll have Something Other Than Scarves(tm) to wear. Our granddaughter called to make sure I got more knitting stuff for Hanukkah. She's 8 and realy doesn't keep secrets well. :-)

    lol, charlabob. priceless.

Kim, if you want to be on the email list, post here or send it to me in a personal message.

We''ll prolly meet at Uptown next week barring any huge snowstorms. I'll post for sure before. After next week, we'll go back to regular Thursdays.

    Cheers!
