Thank you

  1. I want to say a couple of thank you's. To Jessica Forsthye, she has graciously let FCAT and FAF to use her salon on Sunday's for adopt a thons. Next to Nature doesn't have air conditioning. Plus we are able to put a completely enclosed tent for the kittens to run around in and people can go in a visit. It is really great.

Also for all of the NEW business I have gotten over the past month. I have picked up at least 10 news clients and they are ALL from the West Seattle Blog. I just can't thank the blog enough.

  6. And thank you for all you do, Hammerhead.

I still don't know how you do it. All of the time you put into FCAT, plus running your own business. Which, if I'm not mistaken, you actually do "hands-on" and not just sitting somewhere remotely directing others.

You obviously have a lot more going for you, than someone that has nothing better to do than sit around criticizing other people's spelling.

  7. Well, don't thank us, please do business with our sponsors.

All listed down the right column (except for the Crime Watch and Weekend Lineup sponsors, which are banners on those specific feature pages only). Fabulous local businesses offering everything from fitness to sugaring to yard work to construction to meal preparation to music lessons to dining 'n' drinks to car repairs to insurance to groceries to chiropractic and dermatology services to coffee to cupcakes, chicken feed, hairstyling, schools, real estate, plumbing, retirement centers ... and more.

Tell them thanks for keeping our lights on. (And our Internet on. Because of our commitment to 24/7 news, we have to have redundancies. Three different wireless Internet services - plus the cable service here at HQ!)

But thanks to you all too, for being here.

I will never understand the grammar and spelling police - especially those who need to create a new account to do so. I'm sorry you don't have a more fulfilling hobby.

I'm also thankful for having WSB as a resource for services. Just in the past few weeks I've contacted both sponsors and recommendations from the forum members; also passed along some things to non-profits that support my neighbors. It's not a new idea, but a nice thought to say thanks to the blog & its readers every so often, yes? THANK YOU.

You have to wonder how empty or sad someones life is that they can put aside the enjoyment of the WSB to criticize those who chose to share. I had a teacher in the 4th grade that was so critical of my spelling to this day I still doubt myself, even on words I know how to spell. And I admit I am not the best speller, however I try. Our goal in life should be to uplift people, not tear them down.

Oh and Thank You Hammerhead for doing what you do! When my kitty Ruby passed away suddenly a some years ago I was devastated. a few weeks and a million tears later my husband and I went shopping and happened on one of the kitty rescue adoption events. With some prodding I held one of the cats, and we made an instant bond. I still have her 6 years later and she sleeps on me every night :)

I would like to thank the blog as well as the sponsors (and the groups and individuals that give so much to our community). What an amazing resource the blog is to navigate a new city has become so much easier and friendlier too!

Tru that! Thenk yu Hammerhed fer al that yu doo!

And to the spelling police that names themselves the spelling police... get a life. Proper etiquette is just as important as spelling correctly - don't F#ck up someone's thank you, it's just rude.
