   So I can post a new topic, but I can't reply to existing topics... And when I try to log in, it accepts my info but doesn't seem to actually log me in or remember me.
   TR - if your web-tech guru needs any user test cases "Is it working now? How about now?" I'm available :-)

   I think I'm having the same problem -- won't know until I see if this posts.

   It worked -- so it asked me to log on but gave me no indication that it had succeeded. Earlier today I got an error from the login php page.

   BTW, updates work great on my blackberry (and I just started dogfooding IE9 which also seems to like the new stuff.

   BTW II -- if it turns out some of these problems are browser incompatibility problems, PLEASE complain to the various vendors as well. (MS, etc.) There is such a thing as browser compatibility and I'm afraid we've given up on it.

   JP is another member name for Ace Tech Person, who is working to try to figure out what's happened here. Apologies, again, as I said on the other thread, for the problems ... we made some admin-end changes to try to fix other problems like page load time and then somehow that or something related seems to have thrown some forum functions off kilter. Our site tends to be relatively problem-free, which just makes it all the more annoying when something not immediately solvable pops up ... thanks for your patience. I am still showing as "inactive," to myself, by the way, fwiw.

    Update:
    The log-in issue should be solved.
    If anyone is still having the "I can't answer a post, the log-in is looping on me" problems that a few people e-mailed about today - E-MAIL ME DIRECTLY, PLEASE, I WILL SEE IT THERE A LOT FASTER. editor@westseattleblog.com

    The "inactive" label is proving peskier. But please know YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON SEEING YOURSELF LABELED AS INACTIVE. (And I am the only person seeing myself that way, etc. etc. etc.) So please just ignore it for now, it is not affecting your privileges etc., it's just, well, pesky.

    Think of it as a new word ... I'm "in" and I'm "active."

    Well OK, I tried...

    I'm seeing you. P.S. We're trying an upgrade at 1 am that might cure "inactive." or might not. should not result in downtime.
