Shfy1: I declare your answer to be a hand-grenade. In other words: close enough.
It's 40th Ave SW, to be exact. Between Morgan and Fauntleroy. (To protect the innocent, SWiWS never discloses street addresses.)
I talked to the lady of the house, who told me that her mother-in-law was responsible for the odd little fellows embedded all along the rock wall fronting the property. The spirit of said in-law (now deceased) goes beyond the wall, however, and seems to pervade the house and environs still, as you shall see if you journey thither.
The backstory to the figurines is that they were some kind of "factory seconds" that could be bought on the cheap.
[Yoda voice:] So bought them she did. In quantities great. Yesssss, mmmmmmmm!

Did the homeowner mind if I took pix and put them up on the Blog? —Nope. People do it ALL the time.
And who could blame them? This has got to be one of the most whimsicial places in the area. And that's saying something, because Morgan Junction is rapidly becoming the Grand Central Whimsy of West Seattle. [See also "bottle wall." See also "birdhouses."]
Thanks again, Que. You obviously rock!
See ya later . . .
