I was down to Nickelsville late this afternoon with my daughter, serving food. Was so surprised to see they were set up with big screen tv for all who wanted to watch the game under the canopy. What a great idea someone had! Just never know where kind help appears from down there when needed. Residents were anxiously awaiting. I'm so glad for them.

I thought they weren't allowed to have electricity or generated power.

Jiggers, I don't know how this was decided, but my guess is ths Camp took a special vote to allow operation of the generator during this time.
As far as the use of the gas in the generator, again guessing, the TV lending Donor may have paid for the gas, or the Campers interested in watching may have chipped in.

Kudos to whoever made this happen! It's really important that folks have amusement -- and, except for Pats fans, this was a critical part of what amuses many of us. Life isn't just survival. :-)

I don't know myslf how it was brought about but at least someone cared enough to make it happen. It was great to see them excited and looking forward to the game. Not a lot of entertainment for the residents and if they can forget their troubles for an hour or two, that's fantastic. They are human beings after all, real people many just going through a bad time in their life.

I don't know myself how this came about but glad for them. The residents were excited and looking forward to the game. They could forget their troubles for an hour or so. I'm glad that someone stepped up to make it happen for them. They are real people after all, many going through bad times, looking forward to better times.
