Last year was Mud Honey; flashback to the 90's of my youth. I'm really excited to see Hell's Belles at this years Summerfest. They always know how to rock.

Looking down the list of live music, I realize how much I don't know who's who.

Does anyone have any recommendations off the list? Who should I check out?

GAS HUFFER!! Oh wait, they are now called Tom Price Desert Classic. Still great line-up.

And the Fixers are a Humble Pie cover band that has members of The Presidents of THe United States, Huge Spacebird, and The Young Fresh Fellows. Cant go wrong with that one.

The Midnight Idols are METAL! \m/ \m/

I thought last years had a good lineup. It seems like it is getting better year after year. Maybe one day Pearl Jam or Heart will do a freebie for us..:)

I highly recommend the Rat City Brass (Herb Alpert with an edge) and Capping Day, an off-shoot of the amazing Green Pajamas. Check their tunes out on their MySpace pages. And how can you say no to a Humble Pie cover band?

I had to 'youtube' some off the list and was pleasantly surprised. Cherry Cherry, a Neil Diamond tribute band?! I'm there all the way! The Dusty 45s should be great too. Some Dick Dale-esque surfer jams are always awesome.

Really, the more I look at the line-up, the more I intend to see ALL of it. Great stuff. I feel so lucky to live here.

What's all the buzz about Satchel? I've never heard of them. Are they one of those 90s bands having a reunion? Are they worth seeing?

not familiar with Satchel but found some info on the net -
    http://www.satchelpartnership.com/

Also playing tonight is one of Seattle’s legendary alternative rock bands Satchel. The band was at their peak in the mid-90s, having garnered many loyal fans despite ho-hum industry support. Satchel consists of musicians who have since contributed to other notable bands such as Malfunkshun, Brad, Pigeonhead, and Green River, demonstrating the versatility and overall musicianship of those contributing to Satchel. After a hiatus that lasted over a decade, Satchel returned to the stage earlier this year, playing tunes off of their latest 2009 album Heartache and Honey. According to fans, Satchel’s return to the music scene has been well worth the thirteen year wait. Whether you’re already of this mindset or curious about the hype, come be the judge by seeing Satchel live tonight.
