I'm looking for an exercise class in West Seattle that will help tone my core muscles while giving me more flexibility. Please no boot camp classes with loud music or shouting instructors. I'm looking for a gentle, centering experience with a knowledgeable & engaging instructor who easily leads beginners through a balanced practice. Any suggestions welcomed. Thank you!

Limber Yoga on California. Aubrey the owner is an excellent instructor. Many classes and core- strength and flexibility are primary. (and no, i don't have any financial incentive, just go there and love the place).

  3. Gentle Gyrokinesis classes, which are all about strengthening and stretching, are held at Youngstown Cultural Arts Center at 9:00 am on Saturdays. I'm the instructor and have details about the benefits on my site. http://kimmagden.com/ New students welcome!

  4. A gyrokinesis class just started coming to West Seattle. Sat 9 am at Youngstown Center. It's a very gentle movement class - has elements of core work like yoga but the emphasis is on bringing movement and space into your spine. I've got chronic shoulder/neck issues --and I love how this class helps me feel so much more flexible and connected to myself. Instructor info is here: http://kimmagden.com.
