street sweepers?

    Has anyone seen street sweepers in West Seattle? As reported on WSB a few weeks ago, a city spokesperson said sweepers would be out 24/7 making multiple passes to clean up sand and turn it over for recycling. The streets I see every day in WS have yet to be touched. I realize there are a lot of roadways in the city in general but it seems like some sweepers should have made it to WS by now.

    Yes. They rolled thru South Delridge/Westwood sometime last night. Too tired to look at the clock, but my best guess would be 2am - 3am. They got most of the sand off of Roxbury and some of 35th.

    Something woke me up last night with an unidentifiable noise - I bet THAT is what it was!

    Another day. Another reason to love WSB.

    I called the city yesterday and requested they clean Admiral Way. The turn lane is treacherous for anyone on a two wheeled vehicle. She said they were backed up....of course... I hope they can get to it soon.
