I tried to call again and couldn't reach you or your answering machine. Please call or send mail and let me know what time he shows up for breakfast. Thank you! charla, bob and Spot's very hopeful sibs.

Nope -- still trying; I'm at work or I'd just go over. I did drive by this morning and saw a bowl but no spot. I'm pretty sure he's coming home soon.

It wasn't Spot -- the kind folks have been feeding the kitty for 2 weeks and Spot has only been gone for a week. Meantime, kind folks have set a trap in our back yard-- next time I'll ask more questions. Thanks for all your good words--keep the light on, we will.

Larger photo of Spot also on WSB Pets page. There is a good chance this friendly, indoor guy is hanging out at someone's house. Please take a moment to check your garage, shed, etc., especially if you live in the general vicinity of Admiral and say 46th - 48th (though certainly he could go in any direction). His people and feline buddy really miss him.

  8. I met the people that have been feeding the Spot lookalike. I knocked on their door to ask them about the cat (thinking that it may be Spot) and she was SO gracious and sweet! Obvious animal lover, and willing to help in any way. Good luck Charla and Bob!

The people with the spot lookalike are absolute sweethearts (and so is Traci). :-) I *think* they found my late dog, Max,, 4 years ago and tended him when he couldn't walk up the hill with me -- had to get the car to drive him home 2 blocks. We're still looking and we have a trap==so far we caught the neighborhood outdoor cat, Luther, who ate the whole can of stinky cat food and forgave us.

Thanks to everyone for your kindness -- and Spot, get your damned a** home.

I know you have had alot of help so if this has been suggested then disreguard. A friend lost a cat and we put the dirty litter box outside so the cat could catch his scent and he came back to use it outside. I think you mentioned you had another cat and maybe he would recognize his friends scent...worth a try if you haven't tried yet. Good Luck.

Charla, you might want to check your credit card statements, and see if a small camera was recently charged to it. ;-)

Today's catch: a raccoon! I'm pretty sure SPOT is in someone's house, laughing his A%^ off. Spot, listen up -- this is not your new forever home -- this is a stayclosecation. You will be back :-)

JanS, with that statement, the cat's out of the bag... May Christmas morning find both Spot and your car at home.
