    Oh give me a home
    Where echinoderms roam
And the squirrels and the gastropods play
    Where I'm seldom deterred
    By a puppy dog turd
And the stars come out e-ver-y day

Haha. Clearly Schvinod doesn't live Somewhere In West Seattle. Because if he did, I wouldn't have found him. :)

  10. My guess, perhaps close but no cigar, would be Weatherwatch Park, but only due to the close maternity between Constellation and WW.

    Cue: high-pitched shrieking

Okay, stay calm, Mirabile. You can do this. You were born to win this. Just get on up to that stage without falling. Think about that dollar. Just remember the dollar.

This is like a dream come true. I can’t believe this is really happening! Gosh, there are so many people I have to thank. I don’t want to forget anyone. I want to thank the Academy. My mom. She’s been such an inspiration to me.

D.P., T.R., Leslie Jane, the artist, Charles Terry… oh no, they’re telling me to wrap it up…

No, I’m not done yet. My husband, Billy Joe Bob Jack Chuck, he’s been so supportive, and all the peop-

  12. Sorry, JayDee . . . mirabile pegged it, as you've probably figured out by now.

Yes, I DO take submissions for SWIWS. If you want me to present your idea, send it to me privately at DP_Editor at comcast.net, along with a specific location and any clues/comments you think I should give along with it. When I run it, I'll make sure to give you credit. If I go with your idea, you are NOT allowed to offer a guess on it. Obviously.

mirabile: Were you aware that there is a time limit of 45 seconds on Academy Award® acceptance speeches? Yes. It was imposed after the legendary Greer Garson made a 5-minute speech after winning the 1942 Best Actress Oscar for her role in Mrs. Miniver — a fact that is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records, along with a lot of other utterly useless information.

  13. A few words about Whale Tail Playground . . .

    1) It's a magical, inspired place for children and grown-ups alike. A trip to Whale Tail is worth it if for no other purpose than to study the art and design of the playground. It's an amazingly good use of a relatively small public space.

    2) It's haunted. The ghosts are benign, but if you can't abide ghosts at all, then don't go there.

    3) The last time I was there, I got high on the swingset and had a mystical, out-of-body experience, followed by an out-of-mind experience. Your results may vary.

  14. DP:

My knowledge of Italian is restricted to the movie "Breaking Away" and Google translate which translated one of your phrases as something like: "Ah, but poor lady you did not bite my fin..." or some such so I mistakenly thought I was still in the running. This also assumes you were typing Italian...

Once we get some decent daylight, I will take a picture of a small but noble landmark and send it to you.
