Bumping just to help you out. I don't know much about this issue, but happy to sign if I think it's worthwhile. Thanks!

In my mind, it's worth signing. One of the options is to declare Eminent Domain on properties across the street from Lowman Park. Boy, when a government starts talking about that, it should really get the attention of folks. And, secondly, the likelihood of having the park completely lost (including the 100+ year old sycamores) to surface utility equipment is probable.

As I heard someone say about this issue, the citizens of Seattle voted on the Pro Parks Levy, asserting their willingness to be taxed for the preservation and acquisition of parks. Is THIS proposal aligned with that objective? I don't think so. So, I signed the petition.

CSO improvements are necessary to protect the Sound. My objection is not to the CSO's themselves. It is the proposed siting of them. There has GOT to be an option which doesn't destroy one of our parks.

  9. Hi All: Thank you for your support on this issue! I don't think you are rude in any way! I am so happy to have someone other than myself bumping this around as much as possible. Thank you, thank you and more thank you! You are all Sound Angels! Take care, Ron

BTW, I work weekends so I haven't been back here all day. Sorry, if I caused any concern by my absence.

  13. Keep those signatures coming!

And, please, if you care and have the time, come to the next meeting (and probably only meeting in which King County will be attending before SEPA hearings likely in June).

Morgan Community Association (MOCA) at The Kenney on April 21 from 7 p.m.

Call your city, county, and state reps to ask them to be there or send staff!

    Again, thank you!

  18. Duckitude,
Would you be as pasionate if this wasn't nextdoor to your home? What other areas would you like to see the storge area put? I'm not trying to attack you just wondering what the other options are and if you would feel the same way if it was a different neighborhood.

  20. If anyone interested in this issue hasn't noticed yet, the county's presentation from last night, with a couple changes from the one in March, has been posted online.
    http://your.kingcounty.gov/dnrp/library/wastewater/wtd/construction/CSOBeach/PublicMeetings/100421_MurrayCSO_MOCA.pdf

It will be linked in my forthcoming epic about the meeting, which I have been writing all day inbetween everything else that's had to be covered, responded to, etc.
