Our mutual friend Voodoo sent me to this forum:
My son and his girlfriend will be visiting from NYC and is looking for a short term rental of a house or apartment from Dec 23 - Jan 2 or portion of. West Seattle, Seattle area.
They figure it will be less stress than jumping back and forth between the family homes. Any ideas?

Kailuakitty: There's been several previous threads on this topic.... type in "short term rentals" in the search engine and you'll get a multitude of suggestions. GOOD LUCK!

I believe that Mural Apartments does vacation rentals. It is not really listed on their website, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to ask, and they are right at the Junction.

Thank you so much - I've forwarded the info along and am sure that they'll come up with something great. Thank you again !

Ah, of course I should have suggested the search engine; I frequent another forum where newbies often ask questions that have been answered many times before and know better!
Thanks for the gentle suggestion, Jissy.

We are planning to move out of our home by Dec. 1st and will start a major remodel sometime in January. We will be working on the house a bit in December - mostly just cleaning, some painting and emptying but all utilities would remain on and some furnishings. We would love to talk about the idea of a holiday rental. The 3BR home is located in Highland Park. Please contact me if you are interested.
Thanks!

I lurk here quite a bit, post occasionally, but always see that the folks on the WSB forums are quick to be helpful and resourceful. Glad to make the connection.
