I was wondering if anyone knows of current school supply drives. I picked up some stuff at Target the other day thinking of this and now I need a place to drop it off. I thought I had read something on the WSB but that was from a week or so ago and it was a fundraising drive not a collection point.

    thanks.

  2. YES! There is a collection going on right now for Catholic Community Services Youth Tutoring Program. The Main office if located at 23rd and Yesler I believe, and they are in need of supplies. The program offers tutoring to k-12 students through the school year and well as a summer reading program. The west Seattle tutoring center is near 35th and morgan (a block east)and takes place weekday evenings. I'm sure you could drop off supplies there. THANKS!!!!

Another place that my family has donated to for about 20 years is the Ruth Dykeman Children's Center they are located in Burien and are always in need. Not many people know about the wonderful services they supply for children so they get overlooked at back to school and the holidays.
