While this info is fresh in everyones mind I'd like to know what your child's school or childcare's snow policy is-how and when do they contact you to tell you wether there is a delay or they are closed? What would be a better policy or what could be added to it to make it work better for you?
I'm trying to gather information so that I can work to create a snow policy that is as family friendly as possible. Thanks for your input.
My son's small private school is open if seattle public schools are open and closed if they are closed. There are no late starts so if SPS is 2 hours late they open on time although no problem if we send our kids in late if it is safer.
Usually the director of the school also sends an email out once SPS has made their announcement.
