Say Yay for More City Chickens!

  1. Someone told me today that the city is approving changing the limit from 3 backyard chickens to 8! I just wrote in to Richard Conlin at the city to let him know I think it's a great idea. Here's more info: http://www.seattle.gov/DPD/Planning/UrbanAgriculture/Overview/default.asp

I grew up in West Seattle and recently moved to Skyway where my partner and I have been raising chickens (www.2brownchicks.org). Anyway, I'd love to see more urban agriculture be possible in the city limits. We all need to eat and we figure, more farms and more food means more sustainable communities!

Can't help it, that is what the thread title reminds me of.
