LancerMemberHas anyone had the misfortune of damaging their car on the brown steel posts located in the Safeway Parking Lot. During the busy hours getting around the lot is a real challenge. While turning right onto the main isle from the parking isle I damaged my car on the post located parallel to the store. This happen on a rainy night and
the posts aren’t tall enough to be seen out your side windows. On top of that they decided to paint them dark brown instead of the usual saftey yellow. I guess their designers though they were ugly and figured if they painted them dark brown they would stick out so much. Well they got that right…. I went back the next day and couldn’t believe how beat up the first post is. There must be a whole lot of people who came home from Safeway with some pretty expensive groceries. That first post makes it impossible to tutrn right without hitting the cars coming the other way unlesss your in a mini car.
Anyone else remodel their car while shopping a Safeway. Thank Goodness for the Met.

singularnameParticipantMy vehicle is huge, and I’ve found it very possible to not hit anything in the Safeway parking lot, even in the most chaotic of conditions.

Dana of Highland ParkMemberOh, man – painting the posts brown. Aesthetics over safety. While not at Safeway, we did this in the Burien Frey Meyer parking lot in exactly the same manner. The posts are infringing a bit into the space and one has to make a sharp wheel turn to back out and yes, our front panel above the tire got scraped on a less than a year old car.

KevinParticipantHate to play the part of the devil’s advocate, but you have no one to blame but yourself. Unfortunate that it happened, but the post was there when you parked. I agree that it would be nice if painted yellow.

Genesee HillParticipantHeck. I backed into a yellow post. And am still MAD AT MYSELF.
